School of the Art Institute of Chicago M.F.A./M.A. Candidate Kelly Lloyd will present a recent body of work at the Yellow Barn Gallery in Glen Echo Park on July 7th and 8th, 2012. The Gallery is open from Noon until 5 p.m. A reception for the artist is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on July 7th and will take place in the gallery.

With a playful nod to the traditional conception of a retrospective, Kelly Lloyd questions whether it is possible to have a retrospective before having a career.

This show, hosted by the Yellow Barn Gallery in cooperation with the National Park Service, presents a number of recent paintings inspired by and photographs taken during Kelly Lloyd’s two year Oberlin Shansi Fellowship in Madurai, India.
