Join in the fun at this year's Barracks Row Oktoberfest. Starting at 11 a.m. enjoy booths with all sorts of crafts, plants, pretzels and strudel. Local restaurants will host expanded beer gardens, brass bands will play, the Redskins Cheerleaders will be in attendance, puppet shows and a petting zoo will entertain the kids, and German cars including a Cold War era Trabant will be on display. Other attractions include the Military Culinary Competition pitting chefs from each branch against one another in a mystery box competition — they open a box of surprise ingredients and have half an hour to decide what to make with them, followed by 2 1/2 hours to deliver!
